Our Story

We are very proud to say that we grow much of our own produce, from fabulous fruits to a variety of delicious vegetables, which we then turn into our goodies. If we can’t grow enough, we buy it from local growers; we also have a swap scheme where customers give us their surplus fruit and veg, and we give them vouchers. Our staples are local or British and we are very conscious to stick to our beliefs.

The HQ plot is plenty big enough for all the above, and we are lucky enough to have our own free-range hens that lay wonderfully rich and delicious eggs; we even have three sheep (Sally, Shelley, and Sheila) as lawnmowers! There is a fabulous patch of wild garlic that we turn into pesto, we have cobnuts, elderflowers (and berries), blackberries and old variety apples, pears, quince, and damsons- plus vegetable beds bursting with produce (all grown with no pesticides!)

Quite simply, we try to use what we have- we work with the seasons, our range changing frequently, and only use what we need. Great taste and less wastage.

Our packaging is compostable, and we are constantly looking for new ways to become better.

From a few humble tarts in the kitchen to a sustainably focused business that really does care. We are not perfect, but we are trying.

Oh, and one last thing our produce tastes GREAT!
